Simmons Rifle Scopes

Simmons rifle scopes have been around since 1972, but the company was purchased by Meade in October of 2002. While still only Simmons, the company developed the first aspherical lens and put in on a rifle scope. Simmons also took a chance and won by offering their rifle scope products to independent dealers.

The Simmons Master Series of rifle scopes shines from elements brought from the Meade company when they first joined together. What Simmons calls, “truly reinventing the rifle scope,” customers are happy about their 48-hour turn around guarantee.

Because the Meade company was well known for producing some of the best telescopes around, working with the top experts at Simmons Rifle Scopes, they were able to improve upon the Master Series that is famed for its high-quality glass configurations and it’s multi-coatings. Some of their rifle scopes that feature this combined technology include the ProHunter, ProSport, ProDiamond, and AETEC models. Most come with a side focus parallax adjustment and high-magnification.

Eliminating fringe on Simmons Rifle Scopes, an enigma that appears around any image when focusing with a rifle scope, was one goal Meade had for its Simmons scopes. True to form, they solved this by a combination of various types of glass and higher quality optical coatings. Using only Premium ED glass, a feat never done in rifle scopes, will be determine whether these are the rifle scopes of the future. So far, we think they’ve got it right.

These Simmons Rifle Scopes are able to automatically correct color and show big reductions of chromatic aberrations and, if that weren’t enough, the resolution and contrast are enhanced at the same time. Truly an amazing bit of technology—these scopes are well built, stronger, and more accurate than most. Wanting to be tops in the rifle scope field, these two companies, Simmons and Meade, are offering up some of the best advanced technology we’ve seen in a while.

Their Master Series includes rifle scope models AETEC, ProHunter, ProSport, ProDiamond, and Crossbow. Another popular model is the Rim Fire. The AETEC is a high-performance rifle scope with Simmons’s patented TrueZero flex system and sports redesigned wind and elevation dials. Also offering up Simmons’s trademarked QTA or Quick Target Acquisition, eyepiece you’ll get a minimum of 3.5 inches of eye relief.

The ProHunter Simmons Rifle Scopes are extremely lightweight and are considered by the company to be dead on for accuracy in shooting. This model has a 4.25 inches of eye relief. The ProDiamond scopes boast up to 5.5 inches of eye relief and can spot a turkey’s vital zone up to 40 yards and a deer’s up to 75 yards. Their ProSport model features much the same as the ProDiamond at a more affordable price. Finally, their Crossbow rifle scopes have TrueZero, QTA, and a crossbow reticle that shows bolt drop at 20, 30, and 40 yards.

All the Simmons rifle scopes have their one-piece tube construction, aspherical lens technology and multi-coated optics. Also included in the Simmons models are HydroShield, a lens coating that will help any hunter get a clear sight and picture, no matter what weather conditions they face. Finally, their SureGrip rubber is on all the surfaces that matter on their rifle scopes such as the eye pieces and side focus parallax adjustments.

With the joint technology of both Meade and Simmons, we liked these scopes and expect to see improvements each year and well, you can’t beat their 48-hour turn-around warranty.
