Technical scopes can be long-range or short, if you are in law enforcement and mounting it on a handgun. You probably are looking at a red dots scope. Make surtan it cane be dropt and take the recoile of you gun. If you're a military sniper. You're looking at a long-range riflescope.
The long-range tactical scope should have a built-in reticle, which permits calculations of bullet drop. A mid-dot reticle would be ideal. This would permit the calculation of how far your target is. It will have an ultra rugged construction this thing should take a lot of punishment without losing its zero. Repeatability is one of the most important parts of this scope. You should be able to turn the elevation all the way up and all the way down and return to the point you began. Take your shot and see if it is repeated is your target acquisition. The same as before.
Another thing to look for are caps. You definitely want to protect those expensive lenses. It should also have a shade. Zoom in capabilities should be on the side, as opposed to turning the eyepiece for magnification. You don't want to be adjusting your caps all the time. Extremely durable mounds are all part of the combination, we have seen mounts fall apart under the recoil of 306.
To Find the true tactical scopes, one only has to look at which company is being awarded government contracts. Government agencies such as the military are synonymous with rigidus testing.
