Weaver Rifle Scopes history has been shaky at times, being bought out by a few companies over time, but their 330 and 440 scopes have always delivered exceptional quality. When they joined with Meade in the 1990’s they had the backing they needed to reinvent the company and put their name and some good Meade engineering behind their rifle scopes.
Their Grand Slam scopes was a big outcome of the Meade merger and includes several options that include variable power scopes like the 1.5-5x32mm and 3-10x40mm, not forgetting their 3.5-10x50mm and their 4.5-14x40mm scopes. With the Weaver Rifle Scopes Grand Slam line, you can also get their 6-20x4mm with AO variable power and their fixed power 4.75x40mm.
Known and recognized by hunters for their durability and toughness, Weaver rifle scopes have a tube design that is made from aircraft quality aluminum and are one inch in diameter with lenses that are made from camera quality glass. All elevation and windage adjustments can be made by hand without the need for special tools.
Their exteriors have a rubberized fast focus ring and a sure-grip exterior—good even if you’re wearing gloves. The Grand Slam series is fog proof, waterproof, and shockproof and the Weaver Rifle Scopes lines boasts a limited lifetime warranty that ensures repair or replacement as long as you are the original owner.
Another good Weaver rifle scope is their T-Series that is good for varmints hundreds of yards away. Their T-Series guarantees dead-on accuracy and has their QuadZero adjustment system giving you more control on windage and elevation. An adjustable objective gives you parallax free shooting and their fully multi-coated Japanese optics will increase your brightness to 94% at 550mm. These rifle scopes not only eliminate glare, they come with a sunshade and even an extra pair of oversized bench rest adjustable knobs.
Their Super Slam series is engineered to meet Weaver Rifle Scopes strict standards and is loaded with advanced technology such as fully multi-coated lenses with extra hard coating on their exterior lenses and expanded reticle offerings. They have a side focus parallax adjustment, pull-up turrets and are built with a one-piece construction. Also waterproof, shockproof, and fog proof, the Super Slam is designed for the big game hunter and shooter.
While Weaver has been around for quite some time, experts are still drawn to their Grand Slam model rifle scope. Priced right, it fits easily into the four-star class and may very well be the best rifle scopes within that class.
Weaver has been able to compete and stand beside names like Nikon, Zeiss, and Leupold rifle scopes and they continue their quest to offer quality rifle scopes at affordable prices with new designs and technology to keep up with the pack. For a good quality line of scopes, we recommend checking out some of the Weaver line of rifle scopes as a must before you choose your rifle scope.
