Their Conquest rifle scopes, which are all assembled in the US from arsenic and lead free glass components, have a one-piece aluminum alloy tube and quality anodized finishes. All of the optics come multi-coated and nitrogen filled—and have been water and pressure tested. Each Conquest scope has the Zeiss square reticle adjustment to better control windage and elevation adjustments.
Other qualities of the Zeiss Conquest include a self-centered second image plain reticle that you can re-set with fingertip click adjustments. You’ll get a wide field of view with the Conquest and eye relief that ranges from 3.5 inches to 4 inches, depending on model. Amazingly, with the Zeiss rifle scopes, there is a lifetime and transferable warranty if you decide to sell the scope.
Another good feature on the Conquest is the magnification you can achieve by turning the wide zoom ring in the front of the scope. Their focus achievements are European in design and use a rubber covered ring at the rear of each eyepiece. The mounting range of the scope is ample so that scopes can easily be mounted on almost any rifle without extensions.
The “Carl Zeiss” name appears on each Zeiss rifle scopes they sell and come with their standard black matte finish. The windage and elevation adjustment knobs are boldly marked for ease of use. In testing, the view on the Conquest was sharp and clear and the flare suppression was also impressive. While the Zeiss Conquest models are not the most inexpensive scopes out there, they aren’t overpriced either for what you get and considered to be competitive in the four-star class group of rifle scopes.
Their Victory line-up of Zeiss rifle scopes offer state of the art optics for any level of hunter. They have great twilight performance and a fully multi-coated enhanced contrast including great fields of view. They are lightweight, nitrogen sealed to hold out dust and moisture, and have reliable recoil resistance. The special precision adjustments are handy and all Victory models come with their LutoTec water and oil repellant coatings.
Zeiss rifle scopes is now offering retrofits for certain Victory models such as the Diavari. These can be modified from their conventional windage and elevation adjustments to target or a ballistic calibrated bullet drop (BDC).
More impressive are the Zeiss RAPID-Z ballistic reticles for long-range hunting offering accurate holdover and wind-correction. With their RAPID-Z, the features and functions will allow you to eliminate the need for adjustments and calculations to ensure you get a good focused shot the first time. While Zeiss does not offer as many choices of rifle scopes, the lines they do offer have varied options, reticle sizes, and other features that are Zeiss features for sure. Impressive, we thought, especially for big game hunting.
